Telling tales at the Pallet Pavilion
In March 2014, storytellers and listeners gathered from all over Christchurch to take part in our Story Festival. The venue was the famous Pallet Pavilion, created by Gap Filler. The Pavilion, now dismantled, stood on the corner of Kilmore and Durham Streets and became the hub of many creative ventures and community projects. The three-day long festival included storytelling performances, interactive kids storytelling and writers' readings, as well as workshops in poetry, storytelling and dance. A highlight was the Writers' Panel, where local writers answered questions about writing from the floor.
