Another sparkling occasion!
It began as a twinkle of an idea - to showcase the artistic talent that we know we have in Christchurch. The first event was in 2014 and Into the Light was such a success that we decided to do it again!
We have gathered a bright constellation of stars to light up your evening! Among them, we had renowned local poet James Norcliffe, reading from his brand new collection Dark Days at The Oxygen Cafe, National Flash Fiction winner Heather McQuillan, plus pieces performed by award-winning writers Gail Ingram, Nod Ghosh. and Melanie Dixon . These are just a few of the writers in our line up. There were also stories told in the oral tradition by Jason Northover and Anne Mortimer plus musical interludes by Lisa Tui, Eileen and Dan Callahan's trio.
Scattered among the established artists, we had emerging talent taking thier first steps into the light to share their newly created pieces. Everyone agreed it was a warm and friendly evening with some wonderful creative performances.
